This is recognition of our entire team’s commitment to ongoing wellbeing initiatives and their participation in our dedicated programs. This award comes alongside our certification as a Great Place to Work in 2022! I would like to personally say thank you to our staff who all contribute to the culture at Coeo.
When co-founding Coeo in 2007, Justin, our Chief Executive, envisioned creating an environment where people could thrive professionally and personally. We work hard to create a culture where everyone feels listened to, respected, and valued. With practices like open communication between all staff and regular team activities such as away days, everyone has been committed to fostering an inclusive culture at Coeo.
At Coeo, our people are what truly make our organisation great, and we thrive on a family feeling amongst our staff. We pride ourselves on our team’s diversity and awarding equal opportunities to everyone. Every team member brings a unique set of interests, ideas and points of view to the table, so we embrace every opinion and thought, taking inspiration from each other’s work.
As we grow, we have made exciting progress regarding our commitment to staff happiness in and outside of work. This commitment builds on our recent partner pledge with Microsoft as we strive to be progressive leaders within the tech industry. We created our foundations on a strong learning culture, and to maintain this, we initiated a project to review the current Coeo values. This review enabled us to check that the current values still felt right for our staff, the outcome of which is our core driving principle for our people.
In line with our people-centric culture, we believe that happy and healthy staff lead to a successful business and high-quality customer outcomes. So we are delighted to have reached a point where we can offer several initiatives to engage our team and empower them personally and professionally. The three main sections we focus on are:

Health and Wellbeing
One of my favourite programmes to promote team engagement and focus on health and wellbeing is our mental health channel, where our staff can find resources and information. As well as having a channel for this information, we have recently signed up a mental health and wellbeing provider: Everymind at Work. This channel includes a wellbeing app with tailored content for each member of staff based on their needs and webinars hosted by experts at Everymind.
Diversity and Inclusion
Diversity and Inclusion are the cornerstones of our company culture, and we take them very seriously. One of the biggest tools we have in order to do this is the D&I action group that we set up. Through this group, people can volunteer to get involved in planning and celebrating events such as Black History Month and International Women’s Day. We have all completed training on Unconscious Bias, Allyship and Privilege.
Being Active
As a result of our determination to promote an active lifestyle, staff have been able to connect through regular team activities such as Active 22. Active-22 is a programme where we set goals around movement and activities, contributing toward an ultimate team goal. We set inclusive challenges and allow everyone to get involved. An example of an Active-22 challenge is our Christmas step challenge, where our staff were set the task of walking the distance from our office to the North Pole, and we had prizes for the team members that were the most consistent and had the most fun!
