This September Microsoft celebrated the 25th anniversary of SQL Server with a big announcement; SQL Server 2019, which is already available to download for Windows, Linux, Docker and Kubernetes.

This new version brings up some security improvements in Certificates Management within SQL Server Configuration Manager along new features and enhancements.

In September, Microsoft also released cumulative updates for both SQL Server 2016 and SQL Server 2017. We have also seen a number of Windows Updates released, with the most critical detailed below.
